Our Founder | Marcelo Valdez

Marcelo Valdez is the founder and owner of Nextwave Home Buyers. Marcelo is a Veteran of the The U.S. Marine Corps and a Veteran of the first Gulf War, where he served as a Lieutenant in the Second Battalion, 5th Marine Infantry Division. He has lived for over twenty years in San Diego and is an avid Chargers and Padres fan and is proud to call “America’s Finest City” home. Marcelo studied at the U.S. The Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, where he graduated with a degree in General Engineering. He now has a General Contractor’s license as well as a Real Estate license and also operates a construction company focused on improving the properties we purchase. This strong background in construction and engineering has always given our clients the peace of mind to know that we can tackle any of the issues we may find in their homes once we have closed escrow.

Mark Alfonso is the Solutions Consultant/Advisor for Next Wave Home Buyers. He has an extensive background not only in Real Estate; but also in the Marketing and Automotive industry. As a Solutions Advisor, Mark has helped Home Owners and Investors alike; not only liquidate but also transition into their retirement stages smoothly. Janine Minoza studied and graduated BS in Psychology at University of San Jose Recoletos Cebu City, Philippines and proceeded to work in a fast upscale environment assisting the team with administrative, digital marketing and project management tasks.
